NLT's Server is optimized for Nearchive and Avid Nexis

Proxy generation processor considerations
The Nearchive server can be configured to build h.264 MP4 proxy files. These files are stored on the Nearchive local storage volume and can be played using NLT’s asset browser.
The Nearchive server can also be configured to work with NLT’s Media Transcoder (an optional component) to build Interplay h.264 MXF based proxies. These proxies are stored on Nexis and available to all Avid products which can use the Interplay Proxies.
If these transcoding options are enabled, providing a faster machine with more cores is desired for better transcoding performance. Consider NLT's 12 core server to host the Media Transcoder and Nearchive.
