Eliminate the task of digitizing

Create Avid compatible media as you are recording. No need to digitize because the TranScript does it for you automatically, by writing Avid compatible MXF video directly to the FieldPak disk drive. Simply plug the FieldPak into a PC adapter and begin editing.

Add metadata for you during recording

You can add metadata (attributes describing the clip you are recording, more than camera attributes) before, during, or after capture, or you can use the metadata TranScript's recorder applies to clips automatically for you. TranScript captures your metadata in real-time simultaneously as you record - unllike any product on the market today. Metadata applied are your custom, specific information.

Manage clips you record easily

As easy as you capture, edit, delete, store, save, and manage your own personal digital photos, you can do the same with your Production clips. Create bins to store clips, organize and manage them as you do other digital media using the familiar file folder structure. The Transcript's color LCD panel makes it easy to create and name bins and clips, or you can use the new SAT PakTools software to manage your bins and custom metadata.

Create a proxy clip as you record automatically

You can view Proxy clips instantly with a standard Windows Media Player. Use a Proxy copy of the video for distributing dailies automatically. Every 'take' will have it's own enhanced descriptive metadata. Use your USB media stick to retrive proxy video from the TranScript, even between takes. Use the proxy as a light weight daily, and send the 'daily' or Proxy with your custom embedded metadata to others. It's that simple.

About compatability

The TranScript uses MXF standard file formats supporting multi-vendor workflows. It is also non-linear editor compatible with leading industry products from vendors such as Avid Media Composers with 24Fps projects.
